We understand the EHDG as an institution for general benefit as it provides networking on international level at the time that is also a platform for exchange of state-of-the-art know-how in hygienic engineering design.
The EHEDG plays a key role in setting global standards in hygienic design and it is like to keep doing so in the future.
Its guidelines focus on materials in an extensive way, including hygienic materials, toxic materials, polymers, lubrication which can be used or not in the food industry, materials for thermal isolation, liquids and many others.
It focus as well in other functionalities such us designs, surfaces, proper welding, ease of cleaning, decontamination of pathological elements, or how we can evaluate whether a machine respect all the principles required to be hygienic.
With this membership we keep our commitment with continuous improvement and we want to make our contribution towards the advancement of food engineering.
